RESTAND is a recovery framework created by ME/CFS Recovery Coaching’s Stuart Porter. It provides a structured yet flexible approach to healing that addresses both mind and body. The name is an acronym for the core focus areas:
R – Restorative
E – Energy management
E – Environment
S – Sleep
S – Safety
S – Stressors
T – Trauma
A – Acceptance
A – Aspiration
N – Neuroplasticity
D – Diet

Coaching sessions explore each RESTAND pillar, with practical strategies to integrate them into daily life. The process includes education on the nervous system, pacing, stress reduction, and gradual capacity building. Stuart works one-to-one with clients, adapting the pace to suit their health and goals. Daily WhatsApp messaging between sessions offers continuity and ongoing encouragement.
