  • The 5 Keys of Healing is a nervous system–focused recovery programme designed by Cedar Sacred Well for people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, or stress-related chronic illness. It introduces five foundational concepts – Surrender, Rest, Care, Adapt, and Hope – alongside an explanation of Polyvagal Theory. Each key is taught through a mix of somatic practices, guided meditation, journaling, song, and group connection.

    • Delivered over several weeks with weekly 60-minute live calls alternating between teaching and co-regulation sessions.

    • Each “Key” runs for two weeks, combining embodied somatic practice, journal questions, group coaching, and peer discussion.

    • Focuses on moving the nervous system into a state of safety, reprogramming limiting beliefs, and restoring the body’s natural healing state.

    • Designed to complement pacing, brain retraining, or other recovery tools by addressing deeper nervous system and belief-level drivers.

    • Not pitched as a complete ME/CFS recovery programme, but as a nervous system foundation to support other healing practices.

    • Includes both live support and peer community (breakout groups for discussion and co-regulation).

    • Especially relevant for people who’ve tried other approaches like brain retraining without success – the course aims to prepare the nervous system for deeper change.

    • Participants describe the programme as “making the elusive feel concrete,” particularly when navigating complex recovery concepts.

    • Many valued the balance of teaching and co-regulation calls, with peer discussions helping them feel less isolated.

    • Several found the somatic practices and belief work useful for shifting from survival mode into a state where healing felt possible.
