  • The 5 Keys of Healing is a nervous system–focused recovery programme designed by Cedar Sacred Well for people living with ME/CFS, Long Covid, or stress-related chronic illness. It introduces five foundational concepts – Surrender, Rest, Care, Adapt, and Hope – with an additional Foundations module and teaching on Polyvagal Theory.

Each key is taught through a mix of somatic practices, guided meditations, journaling, songs and poetry, and opportunities for reflection and connection. The programme is designed to help shift the nervous system into a state of safety, reprogramme limiting beliefs, and restore the body’s natural capacity for healing.

  • Two pathways are now offered:

    • Self-Directed Course

      • Start anytime, move at your own pace.

      • Includes video lessons, daily practices, journal prompts, 13 somatic practices and visualisations, songs/poetry, a private Facebook group, and downloadable MP3s of all guided practices.

      • Access to materials for 12 months, with MP3s yours to keep forever.

      • Designed in short, manageable chunks to be accessible even for people who are more severely affected.

    • Group Coaching Cohorts

      • Run a few times a year in small groups.

      • Include live 60-minute calls alternating between teaching and co-regulation, peer discussion, and group coaching.

      • Each “Key” runs for two weeks, combining embodied practice, journalling, and peer support.

      • Pricing varies depending on length (6–12 weeks).

    • Pitched as a nervous system healing program relevant to all chronic health challenges

    • Includes both live support and peer community (breakout groups for discussion and co-regulation).

    • Especially relevant for people who’ve tried other approaches like brain retraining without success – the course aims to prepare the nervous system for deeper change.

    • Participants describe the programme as “making the elusive feel concrete,” particularly when navigating complex recovery concepts.

    • Many valued the balance of teaching and co-regulation calls, with peer discussions helping them feel less isolated.

    • Several found the somatic practices and belief work useful for shifting from survival mode into a state where healing felt possible.
