FreeMe Health is an online brain retraining programme created by Dr Cathleen King, a physical therapist and coach who recovered from chronic illness herself. The programme blends nervous system regulation, trauma healing, and mindset work with somatic practices.
-
Users complete short daily video sessions (5–15 minutes), guided meditations and somatic practices aimed at reducing nervous system threat and gently retraining responses. The course includes cognitive education about symptoms and flare‑up management tools.
-
The app emphasises science-based support without symptom tracking - it is not a diary but a tool for active symptom management. Many users appreciate the simplicity and clarity of neuroscience explanations, which help them rethink their relationship with fatigue and crashes.
-
"Mini lessons I can absorb even on brain-fog days”
"The content is well paced and positive”
A user said the short daily practices fit perfectly into low-energy days: "I could actually do the exercises even on my worst days – and slowly, my worst days became rare."
One participant noted the role of community: "Knowing others were doing the same work kept me committed. I feel calmer and more in control now."
