  • Pain Explained is a structured mind–body course developed by Dr Adele Stewart, a GP with over 30 years of experience and a specialist interest in pain neuroscience. The programme builds on the Explain Pain model, showing how pain is generated by the brain and can be transformed through understanding. It combines education with mindfulness and self-compassion practices to help people change their experience of chronic pain.

    • Delivered as a 5-week live online course via Zoom, with 1.5-hour sessions.

    • Offered as a Mindfulness & Pain Explained audio course, delivered over 20 weeks via WhatsApp or Insight Timer, with weekly audios, meditations, and reflective prompts.

    • Individual Pain Explained appointments are available for those seeking one-to-one support, usually 1–6 sessions depending on need.

    • The programme integrates modern pain neuroscience with trauma-sensitive psychotherapy, mindfulness, and self-compassion.
